Volunteering at The Kids Research Institute Australia

Thank you for your interest in Volunteering at The Kids Research Institute Australia.

We are pleased to invite you to an information session for those who expressed interest in learning more about our volunteering opportunities at the recent UWA-O Day.

Hear from one of our current Volunteers about their experience and find out more about:

Discovery Centre

Your role will be educators and entertainers. All the games and activities in the Discovery Centre are linked to the research being done by the Institute so as volunteers, you’ll probably learn something too.

Schools Program

We are passionate about making science exciting and accessible for school-aged kids. Our schools program offers both excursions and incursions for students in Years 1–6, where they can meet real researchers and take part in hands-on, curriculum-linked workshops.

School Holiday Workshops

During the school holidays, we take our hands-on STEM workshops to venues like Scitech and other community spaces, giving kids exciting learning experiences outside the classroom. As a volunteer, you’ll work with smaller groups, explore a variety of topics, and help make science fun and engaging.

With a footprint across seven floors of PCH, our purpose-built facility features more than 7000sqm of workspace and 2000sqm of laboratories, as well as dedicated clinical suites and a cryogenics facility.
